Mesmerised

You settle down on the same seat as always, towards the centre of the tent. You lean back, and watch the spinning, tumbling figures dance in the sky. After a while, you have had your fill of gazing upwards. You idly open the pamphlet in your lap. The bizarre scripts have begun to move, and now they tumble across the page in graceful sweeps, mirroring the movements of the acrobats. It's mesmerising, black ink swirling across the paper like ripples in a stream. After a while, you begin to wonder. Are the acrobats writing the book, or vice versa? Are they simply human calligraphy?
